I introduced you a couple days ago to Iztac, the newest canine member of Alejandro's family. But they have two other dogs, and Alejandro snapped this photo of the three of them sitting at the gate to the dining room while we were eating.
To the left is the old lady of the trio, Olinka. She is fourteen years old, and is reaching the age where arthritis is making it harder for her to move. In the middle is Luna whom I have mentioned before. Luna is also getting up in years. She is still very affectionate and could happily sit for hours while I pet her. To the right with her head turned away is Iztac. She still barks at me like a vicious dog (with her tail wagging all the while), but it is gradually becoming less continuous. Yesterday she actually obeyed me. After saying "Siéntate" several times in a stern voice, she sat down!
New hobby for you and Ezra: DOG TRAINING!
ReplyDeleteSandra took him to dog obedience classes and it seems to have been of limited effectiveness. Alejandro says that he is less destructive now than he was when he was a puppy. I hope so, because yesterday Sandra sent out the living room sofa and chairs to be reupholstered. Iztac had literally torn them up.
