Bundled Up for the Chill

When I was in Mexico City in June, there was a very unusual heat wave with temperatures reaching 90 degrees Fahrenheit.  Now the weather seems to have returned to a normal pattern for summer... which means that it is hotter in Ohio than here in Mexico City.  Yes, Mexico City's altitude of over 7000 feet above sea level generally keeps the temperature cooler than you would expect for its tropical latitude.

At night the low temperatures have been in the 50s F.  (We went out lhe other night, and we put on jackets.)  During the afternoon it warms up with a high temperature in the 70s. By late afternoon or early evening, you can usually expect a rain shower.

One of the family's two dogs, Iztac, doesn't like the cold at all.  So, at night, she wears a sweater and is wrapped up in a small blanket.

I couldn't resist posting this photo in which crazy Iztac seemed to be posing for a picture.
