Pedro, Alejandro's father, celebrated his birthday last Sunday. (Yes, I am a bit behind on my posts.)
In the afternoon, on our way to the family's house, Alejandro and I stopped at a bakery called Maipur. We have gone there a couple times in the past for birthday cakes, and they have been very good.
We selected a white cake with mango butter cream icing.
That evening we brought out the cake and sang "Las Mañanitas", the traditional Mexican birthday song.
During the winter, Pedro is always cold, and as you can see, even in the house he is dressed as if he were going out into a snowstorm!
By the way, the cake was delicious!
