On my previous trip to Mexico City, I wrote about the National Museum of Watercolors, a small gem of a museum in the district of Coyoacán. Last Sunday, Alejandro, eager to get away from the Cinco de Mayo madness in his neighborhood, suggested that we go to Coyoacán. I asked him if he had ever been to the watercolor museum, and he said that he had not. So that was our first destination.
The museum is located in an old house set in the middle of a lovely garden.
In front of the museum there is an interesting sculpture dedicated to cleaning workers.
I posted photos of some of the museum's paintings last February. Here is some more the artwork in its collection...
I love the sculpture in honor of the workers. Beautiful. And it is a lovely setting.......
ReplyDeleteYes, I thought that sculpture was really cool.
