Here are some more of the "nopal" or prickly pear cactus figures that are on display along Paseo de la Reforma as a part of the celebration of the 700th anniversary of the founding of the city...
"Gifts of Our Land"
Until I looked it up, I did not know that the original name of the Aztec city was Cuauhmixtitlan, which means "Eagle between the clouds". The name was later changed to Tenochtitlan.
This was one of my favorites.

The exposition will be on display until September 30th.
