You may remember that way back in April, Alejandro and I had gone to a furniture expo at the World Trade Center. I purchased a dresser to replace the one that was in the guest bedroom. The previous owner had glued a television set to the top. I guess he was afraid that it might fall over if there were an earthquake. I sanded the stickiness off of the top and covered it with a table runner. However, I still wanted a new dresser.
We were told when we purchased the dresser that it would be delivered in six to ten weeks. Finally, I received a message from the furniture company that the piece would be ready to deliver on Tuesday of this week... just a little over ten weeks. Alejandro and I got the old dresser out of the room. Around three in the afternoon, the delivery man called to say that they were on their way. They carried the dresser to the bedroom, unwrapped it, and had me inspect it to make sure it was in good condition.
I put the table runner that I had on old dresser on the new one. I don't want the top to get scratched.
The guest bedroom is now the way I want it.
