We are only in the first week of March, but there are already signs that spring is approaching. I noticed that the daffodils have sprouted.
Unfortunately a few weeds have already sprouted too. I have made a start on pulling them out, and spreading Preen, a product which discourages the germination of weeds, on the flower beds. It doesn't work 100%, but it is a big help. Hopefully we will have enough dry days in March that I can do all the flower beds before I leave for Mexico in April. That way I won't come home to find all the beds choked in weeds when I return in May.
