After a couple of days without any significant rainfall here, yesterday the heavy precipitation of this year's rainy season returned. Around 5 P.M. in the afternoon, I heard the tapping of raindrops falling on the roof of the building's parking garage. As it increased I looked out the window and saw that it was pouring. Then the banging against the windows signaled that it was hailing.
It was not as bad as some hailstorms that have occurred in other parts of the city in the past... storms in which everything is covered in white as if they had a snowstorm. But, as you can see, the ice was accumulating on the street and sidewalks outside my building.
