The last items have been placed on my "ofrenda", the altar in memory of the departed.
A bowl of salt for the purification of the soul
A vessel of water to quench the thirst of the departed after their journey
"Pan de muerto"... bread of the dead... to satisfy their hunger
The candles (most of them electronic) are lit to welcome the departed.
