After leaving the Ballet Folklórico, we walked down the Paseo de la Reforma. The boulevard was still closed to traffic after the parade that afternoon, and it was jammed with people, Reforma was lit up with decorations, more so than at Christmas time.
A giant "catrina" guarded the entrance to Chapultepec Park.
A skeletal "Xolo" (Mexican hairless), the guide to the underworld
Another giant "catrina" next to the Independence Monument
This was the first time that the Paseo de la Reforma has been decorated like this for the Day of the Dead. I wonder if they are going to go all out decorating for Christmas?
