When I went to the National Auditorium to buy opera tickets, I noticed that along the sidewalk there were metal plaques commemorating recent performances there.
Of course there were many Mexican singers such as Juan Gabriel and Alejandro Fernández represented.
Juan Gabriel was one of the most popular singers and songwriters, not just in Mexico, but in all of Latin America. He passed away in 2016 at the age of 66.
Alejandro Fernández is another very popular singer. His father, Vicente Fernández, was the "King of Ranchera Music". Vicente passed away in 2021.
Many Broadway musicals have also been presented at the "Auditorio".
There have also been many international performers.
It would be wonderful if the Cleveland Orchestra came to Mexico City to perform.
We would definitely buy tickets!
