El Norte
When we returned from our excursion on Monday the wind began to blow strongly from the north. I knew that it was a "norte", a cold front coming in from the north. Those of you in the United States who were suffering from record arctic temperatures will have no sympathy for us, but it was quite chilly here. The wind was howling all night, although there was no rain. Tuesday was overcast all day, and the temperatures were only in the high sixties (Fahrenheit). But today the weather is beginning to return to normal. The sky is partly cloudy and a high of 77 degrees is expected.
