UPDATE to Yesterday's Post

Yesterday I wrote about a small protest march which I noticed when looking at the webcam of Mexico City's main plaza.

Last night when I talked to Alejandro, I asked him if he knew anything about the protest.  He said that it had been organized by drivers of the Mexico City Metro (subway) system.

Last month there was an accident in which one Metro train crashed into another late at night at the busy Tacubaya station.

One person was killed, and 41 people, including the drivers of the two trains, were injured.  According to Alejandro, the drivers had been fired.  The protesters claimed that the accident was not due to human error, but to an error in the system.  They were demanding that the drivers be reinstated, and that the system be checked out.
