July Flowers

July is the month when my garden looks its best.  Here are some of the flowers that are currently blooming...

Purple coneflower

Bee balm

Balloon flower

The gooseneck loosestrife has begun to bloom.

I have two jasmines which I take out to the patio in the summer.  They have started to bloom and give off their beautiful fragrance.

Coreopsis

Throughout the garden I have a wide variety of day lilies.

  1. Ahh, your flowers are so so lovely. I wish I had brought all my different day lilies and plumerias from Texas when I moved down here. I never see day lilies here and there is no reason not to have them......You have so many flowers that I have never seen before! Enjoy.

    1. Thanks, Barbara. I remember seeing a garden with loads of day lilies at an hacienda near Jalapa, Veracruz, so I know that they can grow in Mexico. Strange that the nurseries don't sell them down there.

  2. My lilies are under attack from Mr. Cottontail. Someone on Facebook recommended a product that I need to look for. I've seen so many bunnies around this spring/summer.

    1. The repellent I use is Liquid Fence Deer and Rabbit repellent. I can't vouch for how effective it is against rabbits, but it seems to work with the deer.
