I thought that I would begin the lovely month of June with a beautiful picture. As you know, since I cannot travel to Mexico, I frequently look at webcams of the country. Here is a view of Mexico City's main plaza, the Zócalo, early in the morning.
It used to be so beautiful when it had quadrangles of gardens, benches and trees! A true place to sit and enjoy the passing scene of Mexican life.
ReplyDeleteThat was before my first visit to Mexico City. Today the gardens would never survive with the tens (hundreds?) of thousands of people that jam the Zócalo on the eve of Independence Day and other events.
