The Four Amigos

It's nearly midnight as I write this, and we have an early morning tomorrow, so this will be a short post.

As you can see, we transformed ourselves for the Day of the Dead parade today.

The parade was spectacular... better I think than last year's.  Even though the weather forecast called for thunderstorms all afternoon, the most we got was a very light shower while we waited for the parade to start.  The bad part was the waiting.  We stood for well over two hours before the parade arrived to where we stood in front of the Alameda Park.  The other bad part was the number of people.  Last year there were 350,000 people along the parade route.  This year, judging from the crush of humanity leaving at the end of the parade, I would not be surprised if there were over one million spectators.  It was most definitely not a place for anyone who is claustrophobic.  Still it was a great, albeit tiring, day.
