The Rabbit in the Moon

Last week Alejandro took a great photo of the full moon...

In Mexico, people do not see "the man in the moon", but rather "the rabbit in the moon".

Can you see it?

There are several stories in Aztec mythology to explain the "rabbit in the moon".  In one of them, the gods decided that it was not fitting that the moon should be as bright as the sun.  So, they threw a rabbit at the moon.  The moon's face was bruised and darkened by the rabbit.
