I hereby declare that the garden is done, and that I am now free from working four to seven hours on it every day. However, now I must devote myself to house cleaning, which has been grievously neglected during my gardening marathon.
The view from my bedroom... a very nice sight to greet me first thing every morning!
Happy 4th of July!
Oh my, exquisitely beautiful! Who cares about the house? The garden would be where I would be all day, every day, as long as it isn't raining! Happy 4th to you as well!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Barbara. Well, here in Ohio it's been very rainy. We are finally having several days without precipitation. I just hope that it isn't raining the day that I have the open house for Alejandro. 35 people all inside the house will be a rather snug fit! Also, with all the rain we have had the mosquitos are terrible. Even though I don't like to use insecticides, I will have to spray the yard with a mosquito fogger before the open house.

Your garden is GORGEOUS!!!! I hope you feel it was worth all the work. You should put a sign in front of your house and charge admission.

Where our own garden grew a ton in the eight days we were in Mexico.
Muchas gracias, Kim. I think Alejandro made a similar suggestion that I should charge admission. LOL
DeleteA couple friends have already stopped by and seen the finished garden, and they have been impressed. In fact one of them said it was more than she could absorb.
The garden was a lot more work this year for two reasons...
First, I neglected it last summer when I went to Europe.
Second, since I'm having over 30 people here for the open house in a couple weeks I wanted it to look especially nice.
¡Saludos!
P.S. I do enjoy gardening. Plus it's great exercise. I've lost more weight from gardening than when I go to the gym.
