Department Store Lights

 After the free concert on the Zócalo, Alejandro walked just a block away to where the downtown flagship branches of two of Mexico City's major department stores, Liverpool and Palacio de Hierro, are located.  Although the Christmas lights on the Zócalo won't be turned on until this weekend, the two department stores were already ablaze with holiday spirit.

Palacio de Hierro's slogan is "Soy totalmente Palacio." (I am totally "Palacio".)

The lights on the store say, "Christmas totally 'Palacio" 2023".

While we were standing there, photographing the lights, "Palacio de Hierro" did a short light and sound show with Christmas music.
