The Golden Hour

After the "tamalada" at the Al and Stew's "rancho", we drove back to the hotel.  There was still about an hour before sunset... that time in the late afternoon that photographers refer to as "the golden hour".  We walked back to the historic center of San Miguel de Allende to take pictures of the colonial town in that golden light.

Night falls upon San Miguel de Allende.

  1. Incredible photos. Since I can no longer stroll those streets, it's really fun to see what others see. The photo looking at the bridge with the arch underneath was a favorite place of mine when a friend had a magnificent apartment on the left side with two balconies. Great place to watch all the life and parades for years and years. At the time she paid $200USD for a 3 bedroom place. Eventually she bought a house on the outskirts of town and has regretted it for as long as she has been gone from the magical place! She came to SMA from Haiti. Her story is amazing.
