The Secrets of Color

Another special exhibit currently on display at the Franz Mayer Museum is called "Los Secretos del Color".  Forty-five paintings, sculptures and pieces of decorative art were selected from the Franz Mayer collection which represent the use of different colors.  The pieces were studied by scientists to determine the vegetable, mineral or animal pigments used in their creation.

  2. Very interesting concept. Often, we'd joke about shelving books by color at the library.
