Last Friday, Alejandro and I went out for supper at a restaurant not very far from the apartment. The place is called "Fondue Haus Zermatt". We have been there numerous times, usually for pizza. (Yes, besides fondue, their other specialty is pizza.) But this time we decided to have fondue.

As a starter we ordered French onion soup. Their French onion soup is excellent. Far too often restaurants make the soup too salty. We also ordered a pitcher of "clericot"... a drink popular throughout Latin America that is made with red wine, lemon or lime soda, and pieces of fruit.
The fondue was very good. The ironic thing is that I have traveled several times to Switzerland, but the only place where I have had fondue is in Mexico!
