Here in northern Ohio we have had a string of days in which the temperature has not risen above freezing. Driving home from the art museum last Wednesday, I could see that Lake Erie was frozen. Obviously I couldn't stop on the freeway to take a photo. Friday, however, was a cold but sunny day, and I drove to Cleveland's Edgewater Park to take some pictures of the frozen lake.
Lake Erie is one of the Great Lakes, and it is the eleventh largest lake in the world. From Cleveland you cannot see to the other side. Canada is fifty miles to the north on the other shore.
Notice the seagulls standing on the ice.
On the horizon you can see the lighthouses which stand at the entrance to Cleveland harbor.
Brrr, stay off the ice!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! I don't care to take a February dip in Lake Erie!
