A Harbinger of Spring?

Around these parts the first sighting of a robin is a sign that spring has arrived.  Last week on my most recent trip to the Cleveland Museum of Art, I saw my first robin as I left the museum.  Even though it was a snowy, wintry day, this plump little bird was perched in the tree.  It kindly stayed put long enough for me to take out my camera and take its picture.

I know that there are always a few robins who never make the journey south during the winter.  But it was still nice to see Mr. Robin Red-Breast.  And perhaps it is a harbinger.  After a long cold spell, yesterday the temperature finally rose to above freezing, and by Wednesday it will rise to a balmy 46 F.
