Snow Covered Volcano

I always used to refer to Popocatépetl, the 17,800-foot-high peak outside of Mexico City, as a "snow covered volcano".  However, in recent years, because of climate change and its volcanic activity, much of the time the mountain is devoid of snow.

This is the dry season in Mexico, however, a couple nights ago, Alejandro told me that it was raining in Mexico City.  This morning I checked out the website "Webcams de México", and, sure enough, "Popo" was crowned with a light layer of white at its peak.  At that height, the precipitation had fallen as snow.  With the cold temperatures at that elevation during this time of year, perhaps it will remain a "snow covered volcano" throughout the winter.
