More Street Art

Here are some more photos of art along the streets of Mexico City...

The side of this building is covered with rather nightmarish, surrealistic painting entitled "Icarus".

The artist Frida Kahlo has become such an iconic image of Mexico, that it is becoming trite.

My, what big ears you have, Frida!
(I am assuming it is supposed to be Frida due to the unibrow.)

With its muted palette, this mural is quite subtle.  The dead tree along the street is mirrored by a tree in leaf.  The utility pole is also mirrored.  And flying through the air, a skateboarder.

A depiction of the black pottery from Oaxaca
Perhaps, the woman to the left is supposed to be Doña Rosa, the potter who made Oaxacan pottery famous.
It is at the entrance to a hotel parking lot.

At first I thought, "How could I have not noticed this enormous, striking painting on the side of a hotel along the Paseo de la Reforma?"
Then I saw the date... 2021.
