Two weekends ago, Ezra (Alejandro's nephew) participated in a school festival which was held to celebrate both Mother's Day and Father's Day. His school, a "secundaria" (junior high school), rented the auditorium of the National Politechnical Institute for the event.
Each of the three grades gave a musical performance.
In between each grade there were performances by students of dance, a keyboard solo by one of the students, a couple of dramatic skits, a slide show of student artwork, and even a demonstration of boxing by the self-defense class.
The festival concluded with several numbers performed a group of instrumentalists and vocalists selected from all three grades. Ezra was among them.
